In this semi-guided textured session, you’ll ride the swell — a giant wave rising from the sea, ready to tumble and curl. Using modelling paste and paint, you’ll build layers of frothy foam, dynamic water movement, and the energy of the ocean captured in bold, sculpted strokes. No, our acrylic painting courses are suitable for beginners and advanced students, depending on the course you choose.
Acrylic paints are also suitable for beginners. They dry quickly, are water-soluble and can be easily painted over. It takes a little practice to master certain techniques such as colour gradients or detailed structures.
Here you will learn different techniques, from the basics to special effects.
Yes, of course! All the pictures you paint in our courses belong to you.
The most famous artists who have painted with acrylics include Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Helen Frankenthaler.
Use a soft, damp brush or sponge to create smooth transitions.
Start with a few colours, try out different brush techniques and find out what you enjoy most.
Canvases with a gesso primer are best suited.
Synthetic brushes in various shapes are ideal.
Modelling or structure paste helps to create interesting effects and textures.
