You’ll learn how to create and shape those beautiful, foamy waves, and how to work with different materials to achieve a variety of tactile effects within one piece. From soft, grainy sands to dynamic water movement, this session is all about turning your canvas into something you can almost feel.

Looking for a creative experience that’s energetic, expressive and completely different from traditional painting?
Our Action Painting Workshop combines the excitement of throwing, dripping and splashing paint with the artistic principles behind creating a powerful abstract artwork.
After a short introduction, your instructor will guide the group through a series of Action Painting techniques while explaining how abstract paintings are built through composition, layering, colour relationships and texture. Rather than recreating a predefined motif, you’ll gradually develop your own artwork over approximately two hours, allowing every splash, brushstroke and creative decision to influence what comes next.
Action Painting is an intuitive journey. Every mark on the canvas becomes the starting point for the next, creating a continuous process of acting, observing and reacting. Along the way, you’ll experiment with a wide variety of paints, tools and creative techniques while your instructor shares demonstrations, artistic guidance and individual feedback whenever you need it.
No two paintings will ever look alike. While everyone explores the same techniques together, each participant follows their own creative path, discovering their own balance between spontaneity and intention.

This fun-filled Saturday class is made for kids aged 6–12 and packed with creative projects, giggles, and good vibes. Parents are welcome to join and paint side-by-side with their little artists (yes, matching masterpieces are totally a thing).
Here’s how it flows:

This piece is all about paint handling and contrast: thick, expressive application without using modelling paste. You’ll work with a combination of brush and palette knife, learning how to push, shape, and layer paint to create rich, tactile surfaces and a sense of movement within the subject.
We’ll also explore colour in two directions — how to achieve those clean, vibrant tones in the butterfly and flowers, and how to mix softer, muted shades for the background to create depth and atmosphere. You’ll explore layering, movement, colour relationships, texture and composition as your painting gradually develops over approximately two hours. Rather than following a predefined design, every splash, brushstroke and creative decision becomes the inspiration for the next, allowing your artwork to evolve naturally from one moment to another.
Action Painting is an intuitive creative journey. Our acrylic painting courses last different lengths of time - depending on your choice. There are two- or three-hour courses, four-hour workshops for acrylic painting or free painting. Take a look at our programme and you'll find what you're looking for.
No. Our acrylic painting courses are structured in such a way that both beginners and advanced students can take part in the various courses.
Acrylic paints are perfect for beginners - uncomplicated, versatile and available almost everywhere. They dry quickly, can be mixed with water (no chemicals!) and you can easily paint over mistakes. Whether abstract or realistic, colourful or delicate - almost anything is possible with acrylic. That's why we love working with it in our courses!
Use a soft, damp brush or sponge to create smooth transitions.
Start with just a few colours, try out different brush techniques and discover how you enjoy painting with acrylic the most.
Canvases with a gesso primer are best suited.
Synthetic brushes in various shapes are ideal for acrylic paints.
Modelling or structure paste helps to create interesting effects and textures.
You will achieve optimum results with thicker paper, at least 300 g/m2.
