Paint & BRUNCH: Under The Willow

Saturday morning art fun for kids (and cool parents too)

No need to change out of your jammies — just roll in, grab a smoothie, and get painting!

This fun-filled Saturday class is made for kids aged 6–12 and packed with creative projects, giggles, and good vibes. Parents are welcome to join and paint side-by-side with their little artists (yes, matching masterpieces are totally a thing).

Here’s how it flows:
🕥 10:15–10:30 → Drop-off + smoothies & snacks
🎨 10:30–12:00 → Guided art project time
📸 12:00–12:15 → Pick-up + silly family photos (encouraged!)

The theme changes every week, but one thing’s for sure: it’ll be a crowd-pleaser — colourful, fun, and totally kid-approved.

We paint on high-quality 300 g mixed media paper. If you’d like to upgrade to a canvas  (perfect for framing or exhibiting), please make sure to include this add-on when selecting your ticket type.

In this semi-guided textured event, we’re going overhead — your view of the seaside from above. With modelling paste and paint, you’ll shape foamy waves, sandy shores, and scatter tiny umbrellas with sunbathers below. Think playful details, summer vibes, and a splash of humour worked into every stroke.

No experience needed — just a taste for fun, bright colours, and beachy imagination. You’ll leave with a holiday scene that’s tactile, vibrant, and full of summer joy.

At our semi-guided events, you get a clear theme and technique to start with – think of them as your creative launchpad. From there, it’s all about what you do with it.

Our artist guides are there to show you the essentials, share tips, and keep you inspired… but the real magic happens when you dive into your own creative waters ;) Follow the guidance closely or take a playful detour – both paths are perfect.

It’s the ideal balance of support and self-expression: enough structure to feel confident, enough freedom to surprise yourself. A little deeper, a little more intentional, and always a lot of fun.

In this Klimt-inspired painting session, we’re diving into one of his most beautiful (and quietly powerful) works: Mother and Child from The Three Ages of Woman. You’ll learn how to recreate the dreamy figures, add your own twist, and work with patterns, symbolism, and a touch of that famous Klimt glow.

It’s sweet, it’s stylish, and honestly kind of emotional (in the best way). No stress. No pressure. Just you, some colour, and a chance to paint a modern tribute to one of the greats.

Bonus points for anyone who adds gold.

Golden Luster Ceramic Workshop

In this special 2 hours workshop, you will learn how to apply real gold luster to your ceramic pieces and create elegant metallic accents that shine after firing. This class is suitable for beginners as well as returning artists who want to elevate their work with luxurious details.

What we will do:
Over the course of two hours, our instructor will guide you through the process of working with golden luster—how to prepare your ceramic surface, apply the luster safely, create clean lines and decorative highlights, and achieve the best results after firing.

Bring your own pieces – or use ours:
You’re welcome to bring glazed ceramics you previously created in our studio, or you can choose from a small selection of studio pieces provided for the workshop. Gold lustre can be applied to most glazed surfaces, adding beautiful accents such as outlines, patterns, lettering, or decorative highlights.
One medium sized piece to paint is included, and you can still choose more items on the spot.

Important information:
1. Health & Safety
Golden luster is a speciality ceramic material that contains real gold and should be handled with care. It has a strong smell, so we’ll use small amounts and keep the room well-ventilated. Please avoid touching your face while painting and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

Keep luster away from food, drinks, and personal items. A tiny bit goes a long way—use it sparingly and always keep jars closed when not in use. If you’re pregnant or sensitive to strong scents, please let us know so we can offer extra guidance or alternatives.

We’ll show you exactly how to apply the luster safely, and all firing is done by us. Your golden pieces will be ready for pickup in about two weeks.

2. FIRING
Golden luster requires a separate firing at a lower temperature. Because of this, you will not be able to take your pieces home after the class.
Firing takes approximately 2 weeks, after which you can pick up your finished ceramics at the studio.

3. Cost & amount
Please note: Gold luster is a very precious material — it contains real gold and is therefore quite expensive. For this reason, we use it only in small amounts during the workshop and allow only limited golden details. This ensures that everyone has enough material and that we can work with it responsibly.

This one’s for the artists who love a little glow. In this semi-guided session, you’ll create your own abstract masterpieceusing colour, texture, and real gold leaf to add that extra pop of wow.

You’ll start with loose layers, big movements, and your favourite colour palette — then learn how to work gold leaf into the piece to give it depth, contrast, and ✨just the right amount of drama✨.

There’s no pressure to plan or “get it right” — this one’s all about trusting your gut, playing with materials, and letting the process surprise you.
