Our Neon Action Painting Workshop combines the freedom and excitement of Action Painting with the spectacular world of fluorescent colours and UV light, creating abstract artworks that transform before your eyes.

After a short introduction, your instructor will guide the group through a series of Action Painting techniques while explaining the artistic principles behind strong abstract compositions. You’ll explore layering, movement, colour relationships, texture and composition as your painting gradually develops over approximately two hours. Action Painting is an intuitive creative journey. A classic northern landscape — dark mountains, quiet water, and a sky waiting to explode with colour. Then we turn the lights up. In this bold, playful painting session, we’ll transform a traditional aurora landscape with neon paints, electric colour, and expressive abstract gestures.

You’ll start with the foundations of a classic landscape, learning how to create depth, atmosphere, and a sense of space. Then comes the fun part: layering luminous neon colours over the scene with bold, flowing brushstrokes that twist, sweep, and dance across the sky.

We’ll explore how abstract marks can work on top of a realistic landscape — adding movement, energy, and personality without losing the sense of place underneath. You’ll play with colour contrast, layering, transparency, and expressive brushwork to make the aurora feel almost alive.

There’s no need to make every stroke perfect. In fact, the opposite. This one is about letting go, making big gestures, and seeing what happens when a little chaos meets a well-built landscape.

In this semi-guided textured event, we’re going overhead — your view of the seaside from above. With modelling paste and paint, you’ll learn to shape foamy waves, sandy shores, and scatter tiny umbrellas with sunbathers below. Think playful details, summer vibes, and a splash of humour worked into every stroke.

No experience needed — just a taste for fun, bright colours, and beachy imagination. You’ll leave with a holiday scene that’s tactile, vibrant, and full of summer joy.

Pollock in Pyjamas
What happens when you and your child become a painting team? In Pollock in Pyjamas, you don’t just paint next to each other — you create together. 

You’ll mix your own colours, make creative decisions as a team and take on playful challenges that get you experimenting with movement, tools, colours and shapes. The twist? You each create your own artwork, while every challenge gives you something to share.

An instructor guides you through the whole experience, giving you one creative challenge at a time: What happens if you both use the same tool? What can you create with one shared colour? Can your child decide what happens next while you follow? You paint for a few minutes, stop, step back and see what happened — then get a new challenge and go again. 

This gives kids a chance to discover colour mixing and creative techniques, make their own choices and experiment freely, while you get to join in rather than just watch from the sidelines.

That’s what makes Pollock in Pyjamas different from simply booking an Action Painting Park session. You don’t have to figure out what to do with all those colours, brushes and tools yourself. The instructor creates the framework, keeps the momentum going and helps turn all that creative energy into a shared experience — while you and your child decide what happens inside it. In this semi-guided textured session, you’ll ride the swell — a giant wave rising from the sea, ready to tumble and curl. Using modelling paste and paint, you’ll build layers of frothy foam, dynamic water movement, and the energy of the ocean captured in bold, sculpted strokes. Think drama, texture, and a playful sense of motion in every crest and curl.

No experience needed — just a love for texture, colour, and a bit of creative adventure. You’ll leave with a tactile, vibrant seascape that’s bursting with energy, movement, and watery wonder.

Then the fun really begins. Our instructors are there to show you the essentials, share tips, and keep you inspired… but the real magic happens when you dive into your own creative waters ;) Follow the guidance closely or take a playful detour – both paths are perfect.
