Saturday morning sculpting for kids (and cool parents too)

Sculpting in PJs? Yes please.
This playful Saturday morning class is made for kids aged 6–12 who want to squish, shape, and sculpt their way through clay. From mini statues to funky mugs, we get hands-on and a little messy — all in the name of creativity.

Parents are welcome to join and co-create with their kids. Whether you’re making masterpieces together or working side-by-side, it’s a weekend win.

Here’s how it flows:
🕥 10:15–10:30 → Drop-off + smoothies
🎨 10:30–12:00 → Clay sculpting session
📸 12:00–12:15 → Pick-up + silly family photos (encouraged!)

We’ll guide your little sculptors every step of the way — no experience needed, just a love for making things with your hands.

Finished pieces will stay with us for drying and firing and can be picked up about 2 weeks later.

All materials and smoothies are included.

PJs optional. Clay under your fingernails? Guaranteed.

Butter Me up!

Shape & Fun: PIE Ceramics Event

  • Workshop
  • Beginner
  • PIE Ceramics Basel

🧈 Butter Me Up – spread a little joy

Let’s be honest: here in Switzerland, butter isn’t just food, it’s a way of life. From crusty Sunday Zopf to everyday sandwiches, that golden block deserves more than the foil it comes in. That’s why a butter dish isn’t just pottery — it’s tradition, it’s table culture, and it’s a little daily ritual of beauty.

In this cosy 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll get hands-on with clay to craft your own hand-built butter dish — practical, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

You’ll shape and decorate your dish just the way you like, so every breakfast feels a touch more special, with Swiss charm built right in.

No experience? No problem.
We’ll guide you through each step — from rolling and shaping to painting your piece with blue underglaze decals right on the spot.

It’s the perfect intro to ceramics: a little messy, a lot of fun, and totally satisfying. You’ll walk away with clay on your hands, colour on your plate, and a new skill (or obsession?) in the making.

🔥 After the event, we glaze and fire your piece for you.
It’ll be ready to pick up in about 4 weeks — food-safe and fabulous.

FAQs - Everything you need to know about our ceramics courses

How much does a ceramics course at Paint It Easy cost?

Prices depend on the course format and duration. The best thing to do is to take a look at our ceramics course programme - there you will find all current offers and prices.

Is pottery difficult?

No - with the right instructions, anyone can learn to make pottery. All you need is a little patience ... and some clay under your fingernails. Our ceramics courses make it easy to get started!

Can you teach yourself to make pottery?

In short: better not - the wrong clay or glaze can really pop during firing 💥. But: If you want to use your own materials, talk to our ceramics team. We'll see together whether and how it's possible.

Which technique should a beginner start with when making pottery?

For beginners, hand-building is perfect - it gives you a good feel for the clay. If you fancy a little challenge, you can also try your hand at the potter's wheel. We'll show you both in our ceramics courses - at your own pace.

How long does it take to learn pottery?

After just one ceramics event or workshop, you'll be holding your first self-made piece in your hands. If you want to go deeper and develop your skills, we recommend our ceramics courses - the more you come, the better you'll get!

Where the Dandelions Sleep

Paint & Sip – PIE Guided Painting Event

  • PIE Event
  • Beginner
  • PIE PaintRoom Zürich
  • 2.5 hours
from 69.– CHF

Up to 20% discount for Members

A dreamlike painting session of depth, texture, and stillness — with a touch of memory woven in.

Blue shadows. Soft light. Bold texture.
In this atmospheric session, you’ll create a field of dandelions glowing quietly in the twilight — each one textured with thick, expressive strokes that bring the cool-toned dream to life.

Inspired by surreal scenes (think Kurosawa’s Yume) and the delicate power of memory, this piece is less about the flower, more about the feeling. The deep blues and icy lavenders blend with layered pastes and palette knife swirls to create a painting that feels like something remembered — not seen.

Bold and soft at once. A little sad, a little magic.
And entirely your own.

Pour Me a Meadow

Paint & Sip – PIE Guided Painting Event

  • PIE Event
  • Beginner
  • PIE Basel
  • 2.5 Hours
from 69.– CHF

Up to 20% discount for Members

A lush, expressive painting session that’s equal parts sunset, petals, and joyful chaos.
It’s the meadow from a frog’s-eye view — stems towering overhead, flowers leaning into the last pink light of the day.

In this vibrant autumn-inspired session, you’ll capture a field that’s wild, textured, and just a little bit magical: grasses swaying, blooms bursting, and a soft, glowing sky after sunset.

And we won’t stop at brushwork — this is a playground for every technique. You’ll dribble, flick, pour, sizzle, and sprinkle paint to create depth, movement, and a touch of contemporary edge. Each layer adds richness, making your meadow feel like it’s still swaying in the evening breeze.

Bold blooms, a pink-tinged sky, and a whole lot of painterly freedom.

Come for the flowers. Stay for the glorious mess.

Landscapes? More like dreamscapes. Let’s get surreal.

Ready to paint something that looks like it came straight out of your imagination? In this guided session, we’ll ditch the ordinary and explore dreamy, surreal landscapes using acrylic paint, sponge, palette knife, and a good dose of creative courage.

Think shifting skies, floating hills, glowing colours, unexpected shapes — this is where rules melt and intuition takes the lead. Whether your dreamworld is calm and misty or wild and cosmic, we’ll help you bring it to life on canvas.

This isn’t about painting what’s “real” — it’s about painting what feels real to you.
