A classic northern landscape — dark mountains, quiet water, and a sky waiting to explode with colour. Then we turn the lights up. In this bold, playful painting session, we’ll transform a traditional aurora landscape with neon paints, electric colour, and expressive abstract gestures.

You’ll start with the foundations of a classic landscape, learning how to create depth, atmosphere, and a sense of space. Then comes the fun part: layering luminous neon colours over the scene with bold, flowing brushstrokes that twist, sweep, and dance across the sky.

We’ll explore how abstract marks can work on top of a realistic landscape — adding movement, energy, and personality without losing the sense of place underneath. You’ll play with colour contrast, layering, transparency, and expressive brushwork to make the aurora feel almost alive.

There’s no need to make every stroke perfect. In fact, the opposite. This one is about letting go, making big gestures, and seeing what happens when a little chaos meets a well-built landscape.

Pollock in Pyjamas
What happens when you and your child become a painting team? In Pollock in Pyjamas, you don’t just paint next to each other — you create together. 

You’ll mix your own colours, make creative decisions as a team and take on playful challenges that get you experimenting with movement, tools, colours and shapes. The twist? You each create your own artwork, while every challenge gives you something to share.

An instructor guides you through the whole experience, giving you one creative challenge at a time: What happens if you both use the same tool? What can you create with one shared colour? Can your child decide what happens next while you follow? You paint for a few minutes, stop, step back and see what happened — then get a new challenge and go again. 

This gives kids a chance to discover colour mixing and creative techniques, make their own choices and experiment freely, while you get to join in rather than just watch from the sidelines.

That’s what makes Pollock in Pyjamas different from simply booking an Action Painting Park session. You don’t have to figure out what to do with all those colours, brushes and tools yourself. The instructor creates the framework, keeps the momentum going and helps turn all that creative energy into a shared experience — while you and your child decide what happens inside it. You’ll explore layering, movement, colour relationships, texture and composition as your painting gradually develops over approximately two hours. Rather than following a predefined design, every splash, brushstroke and creative decision becomes the inspiration for the next, allowing your artwork to evolve naturally from one moment to another.

Action Painting is an intuitive creative journey. Every mark on the canvas invites a new response, creating a continuous process of experimenting, observing and building upon what has already emerged. Throughout the workshop, you’ll work with a wide variety of paints, bottles, brushes, palette knives, rollers and other creative tools while your instructor demonstrates techniques, shares artistic insights and offers individual guidance whenever you need it.

Deep blues, soft purples, and a subject that keeps things beautifully simple.
In this beginner-friendly oil painting session, we zoom in on a close-up composition of blueberries — rich, luminous, and full of subtle variation within a single colour world. It’s a monochrome study, making it the perfect starting point for anyone new to oil painting, where the focus can stay on form, light, and brushwork rather than complex colour mixing.

Because the palette is intentionally limited, there’s no risk of “messing up” the colour — instead, you can fully concentrate on building structure and depth. You’ll learn how to shape round, three-dimensional forms using light and shadow, and how to create convincing volume through shifts in tone rather than changes in hue.

We’ll explore how to layer oils to develop softness and richness, how to suggest texture on the skin of the berries, and how small variations in value can make each blueberry feel solid, glossy, and alive.
It’s a calm, focused exercise in observation and control — a simple subject that becomes surprisingly expressive once light, shadow, and paint start working together.

Some painting techniques are carefully planned. Acrylic pouring isn’t one of them; is all about letting the paint do its thing.  It’s unpredictable, a little messy, and incredibly satisfying.

In this guided workshop, you’ll discover two of the most fascinating acrylic pouring techniques: Dutch Pour and Kiss Pour. Instead of painting with brushes, you’ll work with flowing acrylic paints, gravity and movement to create stunning abstract effects that are impossible to achieve any other way.

Your artist will first introduce each technique through a live demonstration before guiding you through the creative process yourself. You’ll learn how to prepare your paints, achieve the right consistency, create beautiful flowing colour transitions and discover how those famous organic “cells” appear naturally on the canvas.

Although everyone learns the same techniques, no two pours will ever look alike. Every movement, every colour combination and every decision creates a completely unique artwork.

During the workshop you’ll create three individual 30 × 30 cm canvases. The first introduces the first pouring technique, the second explores the next one, and for your final artwork you’ll choose your favourite technique and create another unique piece.
