Each workshop focuses on a specific process or form, guided by a professional ceramic artist. You’ll learn the core technique step by step, then have space to experiment, personalise, and take your piece in whatever direction feels right to you. It’s structured, supportive, and creatively wide open.
Workshops take place in our cosy, fully-equipped studios in Zürich and Basel, where everything’s set up to support your creative flow — including materials, tools, good lighting, and good vibes.

This playful Saturday morning class is made for kids aged 6–12 who want to squish, shape, and sculpt their way through clay. From mini statues to funky mugs, we get hands-on and a little messy — all in the name of creativity.
Parents are welcome to join and co-create with their kids. Whether you’re making masterpieces together or working side-by-side, it’s a weekend win.
Here’s how it flows:

Golden Luster Ceramic Workshop
In this special 2 hours workshop, you will learn how to apply real gold luster to your ceramic pieces and create elegant metallic accents that shine after firing. This class is suitable for beginners as well as returning artists who want to elevate their work with luxurious details.
What we will do:
Over the course of two hours, our instructor will guide you through the process of working with golden luster—how to prepare your ceramic surface, apply the luster safely, create clean lines and decorative highlights, and achieve the best results after firing.
Bring your own pieces – or use ours:
You’re welcome to bring glazed ceramics you previously created in our studio, or you can choose from a small selection of studio pieces provided for the workshop. Gold lustre can be applied to most glazed surfaces, adding beautiful accents such as outlines, patterns, lettering, or decorative highlights.
One medium sized piece to paint is included, and you can still choose more items on the spot.
Important information:
1. Health & Safety
Golden luster is a speciality ceramic material that contains real gold and should be handled with care. It has a strong smell, so we’ll use small amounts and keep the room well-ventilated. Please avoid touching your face while painting and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.
Keep luster away from food, drinks, and personal items. A tiny bit goes a long way—use it sparingly and always keep jars closed when not in use. If you’re pregnant or sensitive to strong scents, please let us know so we can offer extra guidance or alternatives.
We’ll show you exactly how to apply the luster safely, and all firing is done by us. Your golden pieces will be ready for pickup in about two weeks.
2. FIRING
Golden luster requires a separate firing at a lower temperature. Because of this, you will not be able to take your pieces home after the class.
Firing takes approximately 2 weeks, after which you can pick up your finished ceramics at the studio.
3. Cost & amount
Please note: Gold luster is a very precious material — it contains real gold and is therefore quite expensive. For this reason, we use it only in small amounts during the workshop and allow only limited golden details. This ensures that everyone has enough material and that we can work with it responsibly.

Sgraffito — from the Italian “to scratch” — is a decorative ceramics technique that’s all about revealing contrast, pattern, and surprise. In this inspiring 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to turn a simple slab of clay into a stunning ceramic plate using this ancient and captivating method.
We’ll start by rolling and shaping your plate by hand, then applying a layer of coloured slip (liquid clay). Once that’s set, the real magic begins — you’ll carve into the surface to create your own design, revealing the clay underneath in bold lines, fine textures, or whatever shapes your imagination leads you to. No drawing skills needed — just a sense of curiosity and a love of detail.
You’ll be guided every step of the way in a relaxed and welcoming studio atmosphere. From the first press of clay to the final scratch of your carving tool, you’ll explore the sgraffito process with hands-on support, plenty of encouragement, and a glass of something refreshing in hand — your choice of wine, tea, prosecco, or something non-alcoholic to sip as you shape.

In this fun and easy 2-hour workshop, you’ll create your own hand-built ring plate — perfect for keeping your favourite jewels safe in style. Whether you make it cute with animal shapes, elegant with textures, or quirky with colours, it’s all up to you. We’ll be there to guide and cheer you on every step of the way.
No experience? No worries.
We’ll show you how to roll, shape, and sculpt your design, then add colour with bright underglazes — all in one session.
It’s the perfect bite-sized intro to ceramics: simple, creative, and totally satisfying. You’ll leave with clay under your nails, a personalised plate in the works, and maybe a new favourite hobby too.

Treat yourself to a hands-on creative moment — where you can sip, snack, and sculpt your way through a fun and relaxing ceramics session. Whether you come solo, with friends, or for a team night out, you’ll enjoy a feel-good atmosphere, great company, and your very own ceramic creation to take home (well… after it’s been fired 😉).
Each event is led by one of our friendly ceramic artists, who’ll guide you step-by-step through shaping and decorating your piece. No pressure, no perfection — just good vibes, creative flow, and the joy of getting your hands dirty in the best possible way.
Most of our events take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich and Basel — fully equipped, full of charm, and designed to spark your imagination. Every now and then, we also pop up in partner venues like bars, cafés, or sunny outdoor locations.

You don't need to bring anything to our learn to make pottery course. We have all the materials here - including aprons.
You can also book a weekend pottery course with us. It's like a creative short holiday: fun and at the end you take your own piece of pottery and great memories home with you.

No. With the right instructions, anyone can learn to make pottery - all you need is a little patience ... and some clay under your fingernails.
In short: better not - the wrong clay or glaze can really pop during firing 💥. But: If you want to use your own materials, talk to our ceramics team. We'll see together whether and how it's possible.
The hand assembly is ideal for beginners, while the potter's wheel is for those who want to challenge themselves.
After just one pottery event or workshop, you'll be holding your first self-made piece in your hands. If you want to go deeper and develop your skills, we recommend our courses - the more often you come, the better you'll get!
