Workshop
A guided, one-off creative experience where you'll create and take home your own finished artwork.
Description
Pour. Flip. Watch the magic happen.
Some painting techniques are carefully planned. Acrylic pouring isn’t one of them; is all about letting the paint do its thing. It’s unpredictable, a little messy, and incredibly satisfying.
In this guided workshop, you’ll discover two of the most fascinating acrylic pouring techniques: Tree Ring and Flip Cup. Instead of painting with brushes, you’ll work with flowing acrylic paints, gravity and movement to create stunning abstract effects that are impossible to achieve any other way.
Your artist will first introduce each technique through a live demonstration before guiding you through the creative process yourself. You’ll learn how to prepare your paints, achieve the right consistency, create beautiful flowing colour transitions and discover how those famous organic “cells” appear naturally on the canvas.
Although everyone learns the same techniques, no two pours will ever look alike. Every movement, every colour combination and every decision creates a completely unique artwork.
During the workshop you’ll create three individual 30 × 30 cm canvases. The first introduces the first pouring technique, the second explores the next one, and for your final artwork you’ll choose your favourite technique and create another unique piece.
Whether you’re completely new to Acrylic Pouring or simply looking for a wonderfully relaxing and satisfying creative experience, this workshop offers the perfect balance between learning, experimentation and colourful surprises.
FAQ
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your workshop begins. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy your complimentary welcome drink, settle in, and ease into your creative experience.
Our workshops start on time, so please make sure to arrive punctually. If you’re running late, simply join the group quietly. As soon as there’s a suitable moment, your artist will help you catch up.
Your artist will first introduce and demonstrate the first pouring technique step by step. Once you’ve seen how it works, you’ll create your first canvas with individual guidance, tips and feedback along the way.
Next, you’ll learn the second pouring technique and use it to create your second artwork.
For your third and final canvas, you decide which of the two pouring techniques you’d like to use again.
Unlike traditional acrylic paintings, acrylic pours are created using thick, flowing layers of paint and require several days to dry completely. For this reason, your artworks cannot be taken home on the day of the workshop.
Once they’re fully dry, you can collect them from our studio during opening hours. If you’re unable to pick them up, we also offer a shipping service—simply let your artist know during the workshop.

Not at all!
Our workshops are designed to suit everyone – from complete beginners to experienced hobby artists. Your artist will guide you step by step, while still giving you plenty of freedom to make your artwork your own.
Those fascinating cells aren’t painted—they form naturally.
By combining specially prepared acrylic paints with different pouring techniques, the colours react with each other to create the unique patterns and organic structures that make acrylic pouring so captivating.
Every workshop ticket includes one complimentary welcome drink to help you settle in and get your creativity flowing.
