What we will be doing
Clay is slow, grounding, and full of possibility — and this is where your journey with it begins.
In this beginner-friendly hand-building course, you’ll learn how to shape, sculpt, and decorate clay entirely by hand. Over four weeks, we’ll guide you through the essential techniques — pinch, coil, and slab — and help you build the confidence (and skills!) to start creating your own functional or decorative pieces.
Whether it’s your very first time working with clay or you’ve only had a little taste, this course gives you the structure, support, and inspiration to dig in, get messy, and make something beautiful from scratch.
Some of our workshops may be held in English depending on the instructor 😊 We really appreciate your openness and flexibility!

Who says vases have to be boring? 🐸🐯🦄
Not here!
Get your hands dirty and your imagination running wild as we squish, roll, and shape clay into the weirdest, cutest animal vases you can dream up. From long-necked llamas to round little penguins – anything goes (yes, even a sausage dog flower pot… please do that).
We’ll show you the basics, but after that? It’s all you. Big ears, tiny tails, goofy faces – the wilder, the better.
✨ Warning: extreme levels of cuteness guaranteed.
Bonus: they’ll actually hold flowers when you’re done.
Some of our workshops may be held in English depending on the instructor 😊 We really appreciate your openness and flexibility!

Vessels and Vases
Hand-built Creations: A PIE Ceramics Workshop

Sculptural curves, handmade character.
Looking to level up your clay game? This hands-on ceramics workshop is all about learning the ancient (and oddly satisfying) coiling technique — and using it to build your very own vessel or vase with serious personality.
With step-by-step guidance from our instructor, you’ll shape your piece coil by coil, curve by curve — building form, balance, and your own artistic flair as you go. Whether you lean classic or a little wild, there’s plenty of room to experiment with size, silhouette, and style.
In this class, you will create a vase or vessel approximately 20–25 cm tall. This size is achievable for beginners within the available time using the coiling technique.
Expect useful demos, creative detours, and a relaxed studio vibe that encourages questions, happy accidents, and the occasional “what if I try this?” moment.
Once your piece is complete, we’ll glaze and fire it for you. Ready for pickup in around 4 weeks.
🎨 Want to give it colour too? You’ll get a discount to return for a painting session and decorate your ceramic creation with your own splash of magic.
This one’s for anyone who wants to slow down, shape something special, and make a piece that’s equal parts functional and fabulous.
