Luck, layers, and lots of brushstrokes.
In Japanese culture, koi fish symbolise good fortune, strength, and longevity â often seen gliding through peaceful ponds surrounded by blooming flowers and lush greenery. Their vibrant colours (especially deep reds) are said to bring luck and new beginnings â making them a perfect muse for your next painted masterpiece.
In this relaxed and expressive ceramic painting event, youâll paint a beautiful koi-inspired scene using layered, watercolour-like glazes and flowing brushwork â all on a ceramic plate thatâs made to last.
Weâll guide you through the process step by step, but thereâs plenty of room for personal flair. Whether you go bold with reds or peaceful with pastels, your piece will be uniquely yours â and totally ready to shine on your kitchen wall (or breakfast table).
âš How PIE Events Work
Youâll be welcomed into our cozy, colourful studio, where creativity flows as easily as the drinks. Settle in, sip something tasty, and enjoy step-by-step guidance from our lovely instructors.
And hereâs the twist: weâre painting it on ceramics.
In this special ceramic painting event, weâre turning everyday plates into mini-masterpieces. Sure, you can hand-paint a plate any time in our Creative CafĂ© â but this time, youâll create something truly next level. With guidance, techniques, and a touch of wild inspiration, your piece will go from âcuteâ to captivating.
Fired, glazed, and designed to last â whether it hangs on your wall or holds your favourite slice of cake.
Itâs painting, but with an edge. A little cooler. A little glossier. A whole lot more permanent.

âš Design & Dangle â make it, wear it, love it
Letâs face it: a good pair of earrings can turn an ordinary day into something a little bit special. And when theyâre handmade by you â from raw clay to shimmering silver â they donât just accessorize, they tell a story.
Over two cosy, creative sessions, youâll get your hands (and maybe your sleeves) into the world of ceramic jewellery. From soft slabs of clay to the final glint of a polished pearl, youâll craft earrings that are uniquely, beautifully yours.
Session 1: Shape Your Style
Weâll start from the ground up â literally. In 2,5 hours Youâll explore different clay types, learn how to handle and shape them, and experiment with hand-building techniques like pinching and slab work. With guidance from our instructors, youâll bring your ideas to life, refining each curve and contour until your designs feel just right.
Session 2: Fire, Finish & Flaunt
Two weeks later, when your pieces are fired, itâs time to add the magic. Youâll dive into jewellery assembly, learning how to pair your ceramic forms with silver findings and luminous pearls. Step by step, weâll guide you through assembling and securing your pieces â ready to wear, gift, or show off with pride. This session is only 1 hour, giving you all the tools and parts that you need for assembly.
By the end, youâll walk away with:
đż A pair (or two!) of one-of-a-kind ceramic earrings â handcrafted, glazed, and finished with pearls and silver.
đ A new appreciation for the delicate dance between clay and jewellery design.
đ„ And maybe, a brand-new creative obsession.
Everythingâs included: clay, tools, firings, glazes, pearls, silver findings â and expert guidance from ceramic artists of PIE.
This is a workshop for the curious, the creative, and anyone who loves to make something truly their own. No experience needed â just bring your hands, your ideas, and your spark.
Itâs the perfect intro to ceramics: a little messy, a lot of fun, and totally satisfying. Youâll walk away with clay on your hands, colour on your plate, and a new skill (or obsession?) in the making.
đ„ After the event, we glaze and fire your piece for you.
Itâll be ready to pick up in about 4 weeks â food-safe and fabulous.
