Workshop
A guided, one-off creative experience where you'll create and take home your own finished artwork.
Description
Cosmic swirls. Shiny depths. Full interstellar drama.
Ready to make your own galaxy? Perfect — resin is exactly the medium for people who want their art bold, glossy, and just a little bit otherworldly.
In this workshop, you’ll explore the magic of epoxy resin and learn how to create swirling, star-filled nebula effects. After a quick demo, you’ll mix shimmering pigments, sprinkle metallic star-dust, and watch your colours drift, blend, and explode like tiny universes.
Choose your surface, pick your palette, and pour your way into deep-space vibes. It’s hands-on, a bit unpredictable, and wildly satisfying — just like the cosmos itself.
🌊 What Will You Create?
Four coasters are included in your workshop.
Want to go bigger? Instead of the coasters, you can upgrade your project when booking and create your Beachscape on one of our other available surfaces:
- Framed Picture
- Cutting Board
- Clock
- Tray
- Coffee Table — yes, really!
✨ A Few Things to Know Before You Book
Resin behaves differently from traditional paint, and so does the workshop.
Your artwork needs approximately 48 hours to fully cure, so it can’t be taken home on the day. Once it’s ready, you can collect it from our studio (or arrange shipping if needed).
Working with epoxy resin also creates light vapours during the creative process. Our studios are well ventilated, and we use high-quality art-grade resin. For your comfort, you’re welcome to bring your own suitable respirator, rent one from us, or participate without one after signing a short acknowledgement.
For this reason, we recommend the workshop for guests aged 15+, and advise against participation if you are pregnant or have sensitive respiratory conditions such as asthma.

FAQ
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before the workshop starts so you have time to enjoy your complimentary welcome drink, settle in, and get ready for the creative experience.
Our workshops begin punctually, so we kindly ask everyone to arrive on time. If you do happen to arrive late, simply join the group quietly. Your artist will help you catch up as soon as there’s a suitable moment during the workshop.
Unlike a traditional painting workshop, resin is all about chemistry, timing and flow.
Your instructor will first introduce you to the material, explain how epoxy resin behaves and demonstrate the techniques you’ll be using throughout the workshop.
You’ll learn how to:
- safely mix resin and hardener
- colour resin using pigments and metallic powders
- create beautiful effects such as marbling, waves and cells
- remove air bubbles
- control the flow of your design
After the demonstration, you’ll create your own artwork with plenty of individual guidance and creative freedom.
Because resin continues to evolve while curing, every piece develops slightly differently, making every artwork completely unique.
Your ticket includes:
- One complimentary welcome drink 🥂
- All resin, pigments and professional materials
- Protective equipment and all necessary tools
- Professional instruction and individual guidance
- A set of 4 resin coasters
Would you rather create something larger?
You’re welcome to upgrade to another available resin object by simply paying the price difference on site.
Every ticket includes one project.
By default, this consists of 4 resin coasters.
If you’d rather create another resin object (such as a tray, serving board, clock or another available item), you’re welcome to upgrade by paying only the price difference.
Please note that upgrading replaces the coaster set—it is not included in addition.
Would you like to create even more?
That may be possible depending on:
- the remaining workshop time
- material availability
- curing capacity
- your instructor’s assessment
Simply ask your instructor during the workshop. We’ll do our best to make it possible.
The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.
This includes the introduction, demonstration, creative time and finishing touches.
Tickets may be transferred to someone else at any time.
If your plans change, you can reschedule your booking up to 72 hours before the workshop.
Unfortunately, cancellations or changes are no longer possible within 36 hours of the event.
For full details, please see our Terms & Conditions.
Not at all.
This workshop is specifically designed for beginners who have never worked with epoxy resin before.
Your instructor will explain every step, demonstrate all techniques and support you throughout the creative process.
Even if you’ve already experimented with resin at home, you’ll discover plenty of professional tips and new techniques.
Epoxy resin is a fascinating liquid material that transforms into a crystal-clear, highly durable solid through a chemical reaction.
During the workshop, you’ll mix two components (resin and hardener). Once combined, the curing process begins immediately. This naturally generates a small amount of heat and releases light vapours while the resin hardens.
This is completely normal and part of how epoxy resin works.
Unlike acrylic paint, resin remains liquid for several hours before curing completely, which is why your artwork cannot be taken home immediately after the workshop.
Your comfort and safety are very important to us.
We work exclusively with high-quality, art-grade epoxy resin and our studios are well ventilated. Nevertheless, because light vapours are released during the curing process, we recommend wearing respiratory protection, especially if you are sensitive to smells or airborne particles.
You have three options:
- Bring your own respirator (recommended: FFA1P2 or higher).
- Rent one from us for CHF 10, including a brand-new filter for the workshop.
- Participate without a mask. In this case, we’ll ask you to sign a short waiver confirming that you’ve been informed and have chosen to participate without respiratory protection.
Because of the nature of epoxy resin, we recommend this workshop for guests aged 15+, and advise against participation if you are pregnant or have respiratory conditions such as asthma or known sensitivity to chemical vapours.
Resin becomes permanent once it has cured.
Although we provide aprons and guide you carefully throughout the workshop, we recommend wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting a few creative splashes on.
Of course! If you booked together, we’ll seat you together automatically whenever possible.
If you booked separately, simply let us know when you arrive, and we’ll do our best to seat you together.
Your artwork needs approximately 48 hours to fully cure.
Once it has completely hardened, it will be ready for collection from the studio.
We’ll keep your artwork for up to two weeks after it is ready for collection.
If you already know that you won’t be able to collect it during this period, simply let your instructor know during the workshop. We’ll be happy to arrange shipping for an additional fee.
Every workshop ticket includes one complimentary welcome drink to help you settle in and get your creativity flowing.
Typical options include:
- ☕ Coffee, tea or matcha
- 🧋 Iced tea
- 🌿 Mate
- 🌸 Rhubarb Schorley
- 🍊 Orange lemonade
