Brief, intensive skill-sharing from local artists
A workshop is a single, short (although short may mean anything from 3 hours to two full days) educational program designed to teach or introduce to participants practical skills, techniques, or ideas which they can then use in their artistic creations. Held by local guest artists! For most of them, art is what they do every day. So be prepared to get hints directly from the professionals!

Acrylic Pouring (also known as Fluid Art) is a rather hypnotic and meditative approach to creating abstract art which often leads to stunning results... and even when it doesn't, the process is so satisfying and fun.

“Abstract Improvisation in XXL”
with Patricia Kaliczka
Unlike our other painting events and courses, where we focus on certain techniques and steps to reach a particular result, here we are all about the process of creating, and not the end-result. Perhaps you’ll create something beautiful, perhaps you’ll create something beautifully chaotic. Either way, the only goal is to let go of our obsession with goals. Embrace your intuition and let go of your thoughts, all we ask you to bring is yourself.
The workshop will be accompanied by a specially-selected playlist of meditative and emotionally-expressive music. We will provide a wide range of painting tools (brushes, spatulas, rollers etc), paints, a large wood board ‘canvas’, and a full body protective suit, allowing you to go in whichever direction you wish. Direction and guidance will be provided if desired, but we truly invite you to let go of any obsession of perfection. Take a break from your to-do list and go book your spot here for this special workshop.
“How to paint what you see”
with Patricia Kaliczka
In this workshop, you will start from a blank canvas and end up with a photorealistic still life, painted with oil. This workshop is absolutely beginner friendly;
You will learn a method by which you will be able to:
• draw excatly what you see (from a photo)
• mix and reproduce the exact colors of your subject
• work with oil as a medium
During the workshop we will practice these complex tasks by drawing and painting a simple but pleasing still life.
Not only 6 hours, even a life is not enough to master painting ultimately. With that said, the idea of this Workshop is to give you an easy to understand and straightforward method about realistic painting. If you happen to fall in love with the process, you will have the basics to continue practicing at home individually.
with Taltal Levi
Taltal moved to Switzerland from Israel to study illustration at the Lucerne University of Art and Design, and graduated with a bachelor degree in Illustration Fiction. She has since published two children's books and is currently working on her third book.
In this painting workshop you will learn to have fun with watercolors while discovering the basic techniques of the medium.
We will create three A3 watercolor paintings, which will allow us to experiment using a modern and illustrative approach to botanical painting. Together we will cover some basic watercolour techniques, such as transparency levels, water control, gradients and paint saturation, as well as understanding the weight and precision needed to use a brush for achieving fine details.

Document your personal experiences

What is urban sketching? It's basically drawing on location, capturing and documenting what we see from direct observation, indoors and outdoors. Urban sketchers tell the story of their surroundings, their point of view, the places they live and where they travel. The drawings are a record of a certain point in time and place. This workshop is created for sketching enthusiasts with no prior experience, that wish to begin their sketching journey.
