Workshops: Brief, intensive skill-sharing from local artists
A workshop is designed to teach something or develop a specific skill while still remaining a fun activity. Held by local guest artists! For most of them, art is the main occupation. Be prepared to get hints directly from the professionals!
We at Paint It Easy are continuously seeking for cooperation with remarkable artists around us to connect with you in the Studio. They would share their knowledge and experience during a Workshop, show their pieces of art during exhibitions at Paint It Easy, and tell their stories next to a bottle of wine during openings. By taking part in our Workshops you happen to support them as well.

with Taltal Levi
Taltal moved to Switzerland from Israel to study illustration at the Lucerne University of Art and Design, and graduated with a bachelor degree in Illustration Fiction. She has since published two children's books and is currently working on her third book.
In this painting workshop you will learn to have fun with watercolors while discovering the basic techniques of the medium.
We will create three A3 watercolor paintings, which will allow us to experiment using a modern and illustrative approach to botanical painting. Together we will cover some basic watercolour techniques, such as transparency levels, water control, gradients and paint saturation, as well as understanding the weight and precision needed to use a brush for achieving fine details.
Acrylic Pouring (also known as Fluid Art) is a rather hypnotic and meditative approach to creating abstract art which often leads to stunning results... and even when it doesn't, the process is so satisfying and fun.
By making the acrylic paint liquid, it can be poured onto a canvas in a multitude of ways letting the paint splat, ooze and mix right in front of your eyes creating unimaginable patterns just as you tilt your canvas. It is all in your hands! Suitable for beginners, experts, and all lovers of some mess and chaos, this 3-to-4-hour workshop will look at how different techniques and colour combinations can create abstract art so beautiful, everyone will think you planned it all along.
Improviastion in XXL
with Patricia Kaliczka
Unlike our other painting events and courses, where we focus on certain techniques and steps to reach a particular result, here we are all about the process of creating, and not the end-result. Perhaps you’ll create something beautiful, perhaps you’ll create something beautifully chaotic. Either way, the only goal is to let go of our obsession with goals. Embrace your intuition and let go of your thoughts, all we ask you to bring is yourself.
The workshop will be accompanied by a specially-selected playlist of meditative and emotionally-expressive music. We will provide a wide range of painting tools (brushes, spatulas, rollers etc), paints, a large wood board ‘canvas’, and a full body protective suit, allowing you to go in whichever direction you wish. Direction and guidance will be provided if desired, but we truly invite you to let go of any obsession of perfection. Take a break from your to-do list and go book your spot here for this special workshop.
UPCOMING IMPROV PAINTING
Realism w/ Oil
“How to paint what you see”
with Patricia Kaliczka
In this workshop, you will start from a blank canvas and end up with a photorealistic still life, painted with oil. This workshop is absolutely beginner friendly;
You will learn a method by which you will be able to:
• draw excatly what you see (from a photo)
• mix and reproduce the exact colors of your subject
• work with oil as a medium
During the workshop we will practice these complex tasks by drawing and painting a simple but pleasing still life.
Not only 6 hours, even a life is not enough to master painting ultimately. With that said, the idea of this Workshop is to give you an easy to understand and straightforward method about realistic painting. If you happen to fall in love with the process, you will have the basics to continue practicing at home individually.
