Let’s face it: a statement piece of jewellery can turn an ordinary day into something special. And when they’re handmade by you — from raw clay to lively wearables — they don’t just accessorize, they tell a story.

Over two cosy, creative sessions, you’ll get your hands (and maybe your sleeves) into the world of ceramic jewellery. From soft slabs of clay to the final glint of a polished pearl, you’ll craft pendants and necklaces that are uniquely, beautifully yours.

Session 1: Shape Your Style
We’ll start from the ground up — literally. In 2,5 hours You’ll explore different clay types, learn how to handle and shape them, and experiment with hand-building techniques like pinching and slab work. With guidance from our instructors, you’ll bring your ideas to life, refining each curve and contour until your designs feel just right.

Session 2: Fire, Finish & Flaunt
Two weeks later, when your pieces are fired, it’s time to add the magic. You’ll dive into jewellery assembly, learning how to pair your ceramic forms with metal findings and luminous pearls. Step by step, we’ll guide you through assembling and securing your pieces — ready to wear, gift, or show off with pride. This session is only 1 hour, giving you all the tools and parts that you need for assembly.

By the end, you’ll walk away with:

🌿 A pair (or two!) of one-of-a-kind ceramic jewellery — handcrafted, glazed, and finished wearables.

💎 A new appreciation for the delicate dance between clay and jewellery design.

Explore the world of ceramic glazing, glaze your ceramic creations yourself with the help of a ceramic expert.

This workshop is designed for those who have already mastered the basics of pottery making and are ready to take their creations to the next level. We will delve into the world of glazing, exploring different types of glazes, application techniques, and firing processes.

Our expert instructors will share their knowledge and expertise in a fun and informative environment. This class is suitable for complete beginners but you need to have objects already fired once that you preferably created in our studio in previous classes.
If you do not have your own pieces to glaze, we offer 3 small ceramic piece (included in the price — adding is possible on the spot for additional charge)

What You'll Learn:

Glaze Basics: Understand the composition and properties of glazes, get a brief introduction to their behaviour and important aspects of glazing..
Application Techniques: Master various application methods, such as dipping, pouring and brushing.
Firing Techniques: Understand the importance of details for firing, firing temperature and atmosphere in glaze development.
Troubleshooting: Learn common glazing problems and how to avoid them.

What You'll Need:

A selection of fired ceramic pieces (bisque ware)
A variety of glazes, Brushes, sponges, and other application tools, Apron and gloves all provided by the studio

Firing takes approx. 4 weeks – we’ll contact you when your piece is ready for pickup.

We’ll guide you step by step as you pinch, press, and carve your way through scales, fins, and all those fun little details that bring your underwater friend to life. Want to add extra clay elements? Go wild. Think fish lips, bubbles, waves — it’s all fair game.

By the end, you’ll have a unique ceramic dish that’s ready to serve up dinner with a wink — or just swim its way onto your shelf as a one-of-a-kind statement piece.

Most of our events take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich and Basel — fully equipped, full of charm, and designed to spark your imagination. Every now and then, we also pop up in partner venues like bars, cafés, or sunny outdoor locations.
