This playful Saturday morning class is made for kids aged 6–12 who want to squish, shape, and sculpt their way through clay. From mini statues to funky mugs, we get hands-on and a little messy — all in the name of creativity.

Parents are welcome to join and co-create with their kids. Whether you’re making masterpieces together or working side-by-side, it’s a weekend win.

Here’s how it flows:
🕥 10:15–10:30 → Drop-off + smoothies
🎨 10:30–12:00 → Clay sculpting session
📸 12:00–12:15 → Pick-up + silly family photos (encouraged!)

We’ll guide your little sculptors every step of the way — no experience needed, just a love for making things with your hands.

Finished pieces will stay with us for drying and firing and can be picked up about 2 weeks later.

All materials and smoothies are included.

This workshop is designed for those who have already mastered the basics of pottery making and are ready to take their creations to the next level. We will delve into the world of glazing, exploring different types of glazes, application techniques, and firing processes.

Our expert instructors will share their knowledge and expertise in a fun and informative environment. This class is suitable for complete beginners but you need to have objects already fired once that you preferably created in our studio in previous classes.
If you do not have your own pieces to glaze, we offer 3 small ceramic piece (included in the price — adding is possible on the spot for additional charge)

In this tactile ceramics workshop, it’s all about the surface — how it feels, how it catches the light, how it tells a story. You’ll hand-build a functional or decorative ceramic piece (think bowl, plate, or something sculptural), and explore how to make its surface uniquely yours through texture and pattern.

Under the step-by-step guidance of our instructor, you’ll learn how to form your base shape and then experiment with different techniques: imprinting, carving, stamping, layering — and of course, a bit of freestyle play.

There’ll be inspiration all around, and plenty of space to explore your own style.

🔥 After the workshop, we’ll glaze and fire your piece. It’ll be ready for pickup in approx. 4 weeks — textured, finished, and totally one of a kind.

✨ How PIE Ceramics Workshops Work

Our ceramics workshops are one-off sessions designed for intensive skill-sharing in a relaxed, creative atmosphere. Whether you’re just starting your journey with clay or already have some experience and want to explore a new technique, this is the perfect chance to get your hands dirty, learn something new — and follow your creativity wherever it leads.

Each workshop focuses on a specific process or form, guided by a professional ceramic artist. You’ll learn the core technique step by step, then have space to experiment, personalise, and take your piece in whatever direction feels right to you. It’s structured, supportive, and creatively wide open.

Workshops take place in our cosy, fully-equipped studios in Zürich and Basel, where everything’s set up to support your creative flow — including materials, tools, good lighting, and good vibes.

No pressure, no perfection — just the joy of discovering what you can create with your own two hands.

Firing takes approx. 4 weeks – we’ll contact you when your piece is ready for pickup.

• Arrival: Please come 10–15 minutes early to settle in and grab your welcome drink
• Cancellations: Tickets are transferable, but non-refundable within 36 hours
• Rescheduling: Possible up to 72 hours before the workshop
• Pickup: Pieces are ready around 4 weeks after your session
• All levels welcome — no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy
• Alcohol: Only served to guests aged 18+
