This workshop is designed for those who have already mastered the basics of pottery making and are ready to take their creations to the next level. We will delve into the world of glazing, exploring different types of glazes, application techniques, and firing processes.
Our expert instructors will share their knowledge and expertise in a fun and informative environment. This class is suitable for complete beginners but you need to have objects already fired once that you preferably created in our studio in previous classes.
If you do not have your own pieces to glaze, we offer 3 small ceramic piece (included in the price — adding is possible on the spot for additional charge)

In this wheel-throwing taster workshop, you’ll learn how to center, pull, and shape clay like a true ceramic boss. In this hands-on ceramics event, you’ll shape and design a fish-shaped dish entirely by hand. Whether you go for sleek and minimalist or bold and beautifully bizarre, your fish is yours to create.
We’ll guide you step by step as you pinch, press, and carve your way through scales, fins, and all those fun little details that bring your underwater friend to life. Want to add extra clay elements? Go wild. Think fish lips, bubbles, waves — it’s all fair game.

Most of our events take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich and Basel — fully equipped, full of charm, and designed to spark your imagination. Every now and then, we also pop up in partner venues like bars, cafés, or sunny outdoor locations.

No. With the right instructions, anyone can learn to make pottery - all you need is a little patience ... and some clay under your fingernails.
In short: better not - the wrong clay or glaze can really pop during firing 💥. But: If you want to use your own materials, talk to our ceramics team. We'll see together whether and how it's possible.
The hand assembly is ideal for beginners, while the potter's wheel is for those who want to challenge themselves.
