What is a PIE workshop?
Imagine a Paint It Easy event - but with more time, more technique and more depth. Our creative workshops in Zurich or Basel last around three to four hours and give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself intensively with a specific painting technique or ceramic project. All participants work with the same method, but implement it individually. Ideal for anyone who wants to do more than just wield a paintbrush and would like to delve deeper.

In this action painting session, you’ll suit up in full-body protective overalls, grab your colours, and step into a space designed for making a glorious mess. Channel your inner Pollock as you throw, pour, drip, and smear paint with energy and spontaneity.
No rules, no pressure — just pure expression. Our artists will guide you through techniques of action painting, layering, and movement so you can let go and enjoy the process.

Get ready to tilt, swirl, flip, and pour! In this hands-on 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn two of the most satisfying acrylic pouring techniques: Tree Ring and Flip Cup.
We’ll liquefy the paint, then let gravity, colour, and a bit of messy magic do the rest. With every tilt of the canvas, new patterns emerge — swirls, cells, waves, and very cool accidents.
You’ll create 3 unique artworks on 30 × 30 cm canvases, and yes:
It’ll look like you totally meant to do that.
Perfect for beginners, mess-lovers, abstract enthusiasts, and anyone who secretly wants to fling paint around without judgement.
