What is a PIE workshop?
Imagine a Paint It Easy event - but with more time, more technique and more depth. Our creative workshops in Zurich or Basel last around three to four hours and give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself intensively with a specific painting technique or ceramic project. All participants work with the same method, but implement it individually. Ideal for anyone who wants to do more than just wield a paintbrush and would like to delve deeper.

Ready to swap your paintbrush for a palette knife? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the satisfying world of textured geometric art, using Plaster of Paris and modelling paste to create bold, raised patterns that pop off the canvas.
You’ll sculpt shapes, lines, and forms using a variety of tools — think palette knives, scrapers, combs and your own hands (yes, really). Whether you go minimalist, maximalist, or somewhere in between, you’ll end up with a piece that’s as tactile as it is striking.
Two Ways to Finish:
👉 Option 1: Paint right away. You’ll apply less texture so it has time to dry, and jump straight into colour harmonisation during the session.
👉 Option 2: Focus fully on sculpting, then come back to the Creative Café on your own time to finish the painting part — no pressure, no rush, just good vibes and coffee.

Two Ways to Finish:
👉 Option 1: Paint right away. You’ll apply less texture so it has time to dry, and jump straight into colour harmonisation during the session.
👉 Option 2: Focus fully on sculpting, then come back to the Creative Café on your own time to finish the painting part — no pressure, no rush, just good vibes and coffee.

In this intuitive abstract painting workshop, we swap technique for trust, and outcomes for play. No fixed subject, no rules — just a big canvas, a pile of tools, and your curiosity in the driver’s seat. We’ll set the mood with a specially curated playlist of meditative + emotionally expressive tracks, and you’ll get access to all the good stuff: rollers, brushes, spatulas, a protective suit (yes, really), and a generous 40 × 50 cm canvas to start.
