In short: better not - the wrong clay or glaze can really pop during firing 💥. But: If you want to use your own materials, talk to our ceramics team. We'll see together whether and how it's possible.
For beginners, hand-building is perfect - it gives you a good feel for the clay. If you fancy a little challenge, you can also try your hand at the potter's wheel. We'll show you both in our ceramics courses - at your own pace.
