Immerse yourself in the art of figure drawing with our "Figures in Focus"  course, designed to deepen your understanding of the human form through live nude model sessions. This course lays the groundwork for essential figure drawing skills, providing a comprehensive foundation that can be expanded upon in your artistic journey.

What to Expect:

Explore various drawing materials, including pens, pencils, charcoal, pastel, and sanguine, as you delve into the intricacies of figure drawing.
Each class commences with a focused discussion and live demonstrations centered around specific aspects of figure drawing, followed by guided exercises featuring a live nude model.
Opportunities to work directly with a live model, capturing the dynamic essence of the human form.
Receive in-depth critiques and personalized feedback to refine and enhance your figure drawing abilities.

What Is Included:

All necessary materials, from paper and drawing tools to boards, are provided. Bring only a positive attitude and a passion for learning.
Live nude models will pose during each session, providing an authentic and enriching figure drawing experience.

What You Will Learn:

1. Fundamental knowledge of constructive anatomy, human proportions, and specific facial features, such as eyes, nose, ears, and brows.
2. Techniques for accurately depicting the human form and capturing its unique characteristics.
3. Understanding the pivotal role of gesture, line, and form in figure drawing.
4. Methods for creating depth and dimension, breathing life into your figure drawings.

Recommended for students who have completed the "Introduction to Drawing" course or possess equivalent experience, this course also welcomes experienced artists eager to practice figure drawing with a live model. Whether refining existing skills or delving into new territory, this course offers a valuable opportunity to advance your figure drawing abilities.

Additional Considerations:

- Arrive 15 minutes early to connect with fellow artists, exchange drawing tips, and build a supportive community.
- Your artwork will be safely stored throughout the course and elegantly packaged for you to take home on the final day, serving as a reference for your continued practice.
- While this course imparts intermediate knowledge and skills, regular practice is essential for mastering figure drawing. Join our studio classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 19:00 to 21:30, or on Sundays from 14:30 to 17:00 for ongoing practice within a supportive community of like-minded artists.
