The Studio Classes are intended to give an opportunity to solidify and push further your painting and drawing skills by a simple magic called regular practice. Twice a week we set up exciting still life compositions and figure drawing poses for you to draw and paint. You are welcome to bring a photo or your own theme as well. Enthusiast of abstract art can paint on large cardboards. Just like in a classical study group in a school, a teacher is always present and walks through the class to give his/her assistance according to each student’s level and interest. A studio class is more economic and provide more freedom of expression since the long term goal is to support you to develop your own artistic voice.
What is included? Not all materials are included. You are welcome to use the palettes, easels, drawing boards, aprons and drawing materials like paper and pencils as well as acrylic paint and brushes. Oil paint and solvent can be used for an extra 5 CHF / session. Sketchbooks, quality cardboards, wooden boards and canvases of all sizes can be purchased on the spot.
Is this course right for me? The Studio Classes are open to anyone who is interested, regardless the level of experience. It is a good place to continue if you finished any of our drawing or painting courses. Newcomers are welcome as well.
How to participate? You are welcome to come for a trial session and pay only one class on the spot. If you‘d like to attend regularly, you can choose from two Pass options: 5 or 10 tickets valid for 7 or 14 weeks respectively. It does not count in the validity period when the studio is closed for Holiday seasons. Also important to note, that you can pause your Pass for the duration of attending any other PIE course(s) during the validity period. PLEASE LET US KNOW IN AN EMAIL/SMS YOUR INTENTION TO JOIN BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS (TRIAL CLASS)!
We dreamed of an art study group, which was open enough to be joined at any point and flexible enough to fit in the calendar of many without making a lot of sacrifices.
Howitworks: The pass contains 5 or 10 tickets which are valid for 7 or 14 weeks respectively. Right after the first class you will receive a stamp collector card with the expiry date on it. At the end of every class you will get a stamp onto the card. Once all the tickets are used up you can easily purchase another Pass and the same cycle repeats itself. What is important, that all the tickets have to be used up within the validity period. This system is flexible enough, so that you can skip some of the classes without loosing a penny...
