What we will be doing
Glossy vibes. Bold colour. Zero chill.
So, you’ve decided to dive into the world of resin? Excellent choice — it’s glossy, it’s satisfying, and a little addictive (in the best way).
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of epoxy resin: what it is, how it works, and how to pour it like a pro. After a quick demo from your instructor, you’ll mix your colours, pick your surface, and get to pouring.
You can create one of the following resin art pieces:
🎨 4 abstract coasters
🖼️ A framed resin painting
🕰️ A working resin clock
🍽️ A marble-like serving tray
☕ Or… a full-on abstract coffee table 😍
You’ll learn all the tools, tips, and hacks:
✨ How to get that perfect swirl
✨ What to do (and what not to do) when pouring
✨ How to mix your pigments for dreamy, hypnotic effects
Perfect for beginners, DIY-lovers, and anyone who’s mesmerised by that moment when the colours start to swirl.
✨ How PIE Workshops Work
Think of a Paint It Easy event — but with more time, more technique, and more creative depth. Our workshops are all about learning something new and meaningful while still enjoying the relaxed, feel-good PIE vibe.
Each workshop is guided by a professional artist and focuses on a specific creative technique, style, or material. Whether you’re trying it for the first time or want to deepen existing skills, you’ll get personal guidance, hands-on support, and time to really explore the process.
Most workshops take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich or Basel — full of colour, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere. From time to time, we also host them at inspiring partner venues or outdoors in the sunny season.
No stress, no pressure — just a great setting to experiment, learn something new, and create something truly yours.
We provide everything you need:
- A warm and friendly learning environment
- All necessary materials and tools
- A mix of demonstration & individual guidance
- Artistic freedom — everyone interprets the technique their own way
Whether you’re a motivated beginner or a curious creative, this is the space to dive deeper, discover new methods, and leave with a skill that sticks.
🥂 A Toast to Creativity
We kick off every workshop with a complimentary welcome drink — the perfect way to settle in, connect with fellow creatives, and get inspired.

✨ Design & Dangle – make it, wear it, love it
Let’s face it: a statement piece of jewellery can turn an ordinary day into something special. And when they’re handmade by you — from raw clay to lively wearables — they don’t just accessorize, they tell a story.
Over two cosy, creative sessions, you’ll get your hands (and maybe your sleeves) into the world of ceramic jewellery. From soft slabs of clay to the final glint of a polished pearl, you’ll craft pendants and necklaces that are uniquely, beautifully yours.
Session 1: Shape Your Style
We’ll start from the ground up — literally. In 2,5 hours You’ll explore different clay types, learn how to handle and shape them, and experiment with hand-building techniques like pinching and slab work. With guidance from our instructors, you’ll bring your ideas to life, refining each curve and contour until your designs feel just right.
You will be able to do a few pieces of pendants.
Session 2: Fire, Finish & Flaunt
Two weeks later, when your pieces are fired, it’s time to add the magic. You’ll dive into jewellery assembly, learning how to pair your ceramic forms with metal findings and luminous pearls. Step by step, we’ll guide you through assembling and securing your pieces — ready to wear, gift, or show off with pride. This session is only 1 hour, giving you all the tools and parts that you need for assembly. Parts for 3 items will be provided.
By the end, you’ll walk away with:
🌿 A pair (or two!) of one-of-a-kind ceramic jewellery — handcrafted, glazed, and finished wearables.
💎 A new appreciation for the delicate dance between clay and jewellery design.
🔥 And maybe, a brand-new creative obsession.
Everything’s included: clay, tools, firings, glazes, pearls, metal findings — and expert guidance from ceramic artists of PIE.
This is a workshop for the curious, the creative, and anyone who loves to make something truly their own. No experience needed — just bring your hands, your ideas, and your spark.
It’s the perfect intro to ceramics: a little messy, a lot of fun, and totally satisfying. You’ll walk away with clay on your hands, colour on your plate, and a new skill (or obsession?) in the making.

Shape it. Press it. Pattern it. Fall in love with the feel of clay.
In this tactile ceramics workshop, it’s all about the surface — how it feels, how it catches the light, how it tells a story. You’ll hand-build a functional or decorative ceramic piece (think bowl, plate, or something sculptural), and explore how to make its surface uniquely yours through texture and pattern.
Under the step-by-step guidance of our instructor, you’ll learn how to form your base shape and then experiment with different techniques: imprinting, carving, stamping, layering — and of course, a bit of freestyle play.
There’ll be inspiration all around, and plenty of space to explore your own style.
🎨 Want to add colour later? You’ll receive a discount to join one of our painting sessions and glaze your own handmade object.
🔥 After the workshop, we’ll glaze and fire your piece. It’ll be ready for pickup in approx. 4 weeks — textured, finished, and totally one of a kind.
