What we will be doing

Not your average straight lines.

It’s time to ditch the detail work and go full abstract. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll sculpt your way into bold, modern compositions — layering plaster and modeling paste to create texture you can actually feel.

Think palette knives, spatulas, maybe even a fork or your fingers — anything goes. Play with shape, line, and movement to build a piece that’s raw, expressive, and 100% you.

Once you’ve nailed the texture, it’s your call:

  • Add colour on the spot
  • Or let it dry and come back later — the studio’s always open for round two

No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy.
Whether you love minimal elegance or maximalist chaos, this one’s your playground.

You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind abstract artwork full of bold energy and sculptural charm.

✨ How the Workshop Works

Think of a Paint It Easy event — but with more time, more technique, and more creative depth. Our workshops are all about learning something new and meaningful while still enjoying the relaxed, feel-good PIE vibe.

Each workshop is guided by a professional artist and focuses on a specific creative technique, style, or material. Whether you’re trying it for the first time or want to deepen existing skills, you’ll get personal guidance, hands-on support, and time to really explore the process.

Most workshops take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich or Basel — full of colour, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere. From time to time, we also host them at inspiring partner venues or outdoors in the sunny season.

No stress, no pressure — just a great setting to experiment, learn something new, and create something truly yours.

We provide everything you need:

  • A warm and friendly learning environment
  • All necessary materials and tools
  • A mix of demonstration & individual guidance
  • Artistic freedom — everyone interprets the technique their own way

Whether you’re a motivated beginner or a curious creative, this is the space to dive deeper, discover new methods, and leave with a skill that sticks.

🥂 A Toast to Creativity

We kick off every workshop with a complimentary welcome drink — the perfect way to settle in, connect with fellow creatives, and get inspired. Choose from:
• A soft drink or hot drink
• A glass of wine, prosecco, or beer
• Or our rotating Cocktail of the Week

Want to treat yourself? Upgrade to one of our signature cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, or special drinks for just CHF 5–9.

🍴 Hungry for more?

Our Creative Café offers a tasty à la carte menu during the session — featuring wraps, bowls, finger foods, and healthy snacks to keep your energy (and creativity) up. Additional drinks can be ordered at regular menu prices.

What are PIE workshops?

What materials will we use to create the textured art?

We’ll be working with Modeling Paste and Plaster of Paris to sculpt beautiful floral textures. These materials give your artwork a rich, raised surface that’s ready for color and creativity!

Will my artwork be dry enough to paint or take home?

This workshop focuses on creating the textured base. If you use a light amount of paste, your piece may dry enough to try painting during the session. Either way, you’ll get acrylic paints to take home or you’re welcome to return to our studio to paint once it’s fully dry!

Can I choose my own floral design?

Absolutely! We’ll have templates and inspiration available, but you’re free to sketch and sculpt your own floral vision. Whether you love roses, wildflowers, or abstract blooms—it’s your creation!
