What we will be doing
a.k.a. Abstract Improvisation – let it flow, not fit.
This isn’t about “getting it right.”
This is about letting go, following your instinct, and making something raw, bold, weird, calming, chaotic — or all of the above.
In this intuitive abstract painting workshop, we swap technique for trust, and outcomes for play. No fixed subject, no rules — just a big canvas, a pile of tools, and your curiosity in the driver’s seat. Whether you leave with a masterpiece or a glorious mess, the point is: you showed up, you created, and you felt something.
We’ll set the mood with a specially curated playlist of meditative + emotionally expressive tracks, and you’ll get access to all the good stuff: rollers, brushes, spatulas, a protective suit (yes, really), and a generous 40 × 50 cm canvas to start. Want to go bigger? You can upgrade when booking – or decide on the spot.
Guidance is there if you want it — but your brush, your vibe, your call.

Think of a Paint It Easy event — but with more time, more technique, and more creative depth. Our workshops are all about learning something new and meaningful while still enjoying the relaxed, feel-good PIE vibe.
Each workshop is guided by a professional artist and focuses on a specific creative technique, style, or material. Whether you’re trying it for the first time or want to deepen existing skills, you’ll get personal guidance, hands-on support, and time to really explore the process.
Most workshops take place in our beautiful, cosy studios in Zürich or Basel — full of colour, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere. From time to time, we also host them at inspiring partner venues or outdoors in the sunny season.
No stress, no pressure — just a great setting to experiment, learn something new, and create something truly yours.
We provide everything you need:
- A warm and friendly learning environment
- All necessary materials and tools
- A mix of demonstration & individual guidance
- Artistic freedom — everyone interprets the technique their own way
Whether you’re a motivated beginner or a curious creative, this is the space to dive deeper, discover new methods, and leave with a skill that sticks.

Our Creative Café offers a tasty à la carte menu during the session — featuring wraps, bowls, finger foods, and healthy snacks to keep your energy (and creativity) up. Additional drinks can be ordered at regular menu prices.
📋 Good to Know
- Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to grab your drink, get comfy, and settle into the creative flow.
- Cancellations: Tickets are transferable, but non-refundable within 36 hours. You can reschedule your spot up to 72 hours before the workshop.
- All levels welcome: While workshops focus on skill-building, no prior experience is required — just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Alcohol: Only served to guests aged 18+.

Oh yes! Intuitive painting has nothing to do with “being good” — it’s all about feeling, exploring, and letting go.
From acrylics, pipettes, spray bottles and cups to spatulas, sponges and paint guns – we’ve got everything you need to splash, drip, swirl and layer.
And don’t worry: the mess stays fun — we provide protective gear for you and the room.
Absolutely — we’re happy to let your masterpiece chill with us for up to one week. After that, it needs to fly the nest (space is precious!). Just let us know and we’ll keep it safe until pickup.
