Drawing II.

Short description of the course:

Our Drawing II. course will last for 4 weeks and will take place on weekday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30.
This course is designed to help you further develop your existing drawing skills and learn new techniques for controlling tones, composition, and different drawing methods. Drawing is a crucial foundation for all visual art practices, including painting, where everything except for the physical mixing of color and the tactile nature of the paint is drawn.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to further connect with your inner artist and discover a new way of seeing the world. Sign up now and take your next few steps on your drawing journey.

What to expect:

  • Throughout the course, students will further experiment with drawing materials such as pens, pencils, charcoal, pastel, and sanguine.
  • Each class will begin with a clear explanation and demonstration of the session's subject by the art teacher, followed by drawing exercises.
  • Students will draw from both photo references and still life.

What is included:

  • All materials such as paper, drawing tools, boards, etc. are included. Students do not need to bring anything except a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

What you will learn:

  • How to see with an artist's eye and capture what you see on paper.
  • Techniques for controlling tones and values in your drawings.
  • The principles of composition and how to create a balanced and aesthetically pleasing composition.

Is this course right for me?

This course is designed for beginners who have previously attended the first module of the drawing course and thus acquired some important knowledge about practical fundamentals, three dimensional drawing and thinking, the laws of light, and the concept of value.
Those with some experience can also benefit from the course as it can help to organize existing knowledge and develop effective working processes. For more experienced students, we recommend attending thematic courses such as Figure drawing with life models, and joining one of our study groups.

Some important things to keep in mind:

  • We encourage all students to arrive 15 minutes before the start of class. This will allow us to start on time and will give you the opportunity to socialize with other students and share drawing tips, discuss at-home practice, and provide help or receive help from others. This will help everyone improve their skills and achieve better results.
  • We will be happy to store your artwork throughout the course. On the last class we nicely package it so you can take it home and have guiding references while practicing your newly acquired skills.
  • This course is the continuation of a previous drawing module course for beginner students. You may want to consider purchasing both modules as a package to receive a 10% discount on your purchase.
  • This course will provide you with a continuation of the basic, fundamental, and structural knowledge and skills needed for drawing to help you on your way to an intermediate level. Nevertheless, it is important not to forget that regular practice is always key to fully incorporate newly acquired knowledge. Our study groups offer the opportunity for continued practice in a community of like-minded individuals up to two days a week (Mondays and Wednesdays from 19:00 to 21:30).
